The Yorktown, VA Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)
meets on the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is June 13, 2017. Meetings begin at 6 pm with a business meeting and social event. (Pizza and soda are provided.) At 6:30 pm there will be a presentation, followed by a question and answer period. All interested parties are welcome and invited. From Interstate 64: take exit 258A, onto Route 17 South and East, also known as J Clyde Morris Blvd. Turn right at the first traffic light, turn right again at the next traffic light. Turn right at the next road. Just before the Omni Hotel, turn left onto the ECPI campus. The meeting room will be announced on the door to the building.

The speaker for the next meeting will be Ed Johnson, who is CISSP and CCNA certified, has over 30 years of experience in the information technology field. He has worked with commercial banks and brought them into compliance with GLB (Gramm-Leach-Bliley) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley). He has assisted medical practices in meeting strict compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act) and HITECH. Mr. Johnson’s background also includes extensive knowledge with IA devices (Cisco firewalls, routers and switches), and multiple operating system (various windows flavors, Linux and IBM I series computers.).
